The program is structured in two phases.  In the first phase, students are given weekly education in a unique research area.  These lectures are in English and they last about three hours in length per week.  The first phase occurs over the first four weeks.  In the second phase, students are expected to gather and analyze a unique dataset and prepare a research proposal and complete their research during the second month of the program.  Additional instruction (recitation sessions) will be provided by teaching assistants who are fluent in Turkish and English and they will guide the students both during the lecture phase as well as the research phase.
